(did I say legally? It’s friggin legal allright).

So, no more youtube hunting, no more google video hunting, just watch it there…. FREE, AND LEGAL *yippieee*
Confirmed: Matt Stone and Trey Parker have teamed up with Comedy Central to launch what could be the greatest website ever – South Park Studios, which promises to bring every single episode of South Park online, in full high definition streaming video, at absolutely no cost to the viewer.
The full episodes will only be available on the site, and not be embeddable, but shorter clips will be made available to other sites in an embeddable video player.
The creators of the hit show, Parker and Stone will be splitting all profits from on-site advertising revenue 50/50 with Comedy Central, and considering the growing popularity of illegal sites, the move could be a masterstroke for the duo, who were once quoted as saying “It doesn’t bother us if people download the shows illegally”.
This could be a lesson to other TV networks who see online piracy as a serious threat to their livelyhood, as Comedy Central has effectively made the pirate sites obsolete in one fell swoop.
In addition to hosting the shows, South Park Studios also plays host to official flash games, downloads and episode guides. There are also plans to use the site as a launchpad for future animation series from Comedy Central. (source: SlashDot)
Very cool that they are so forward-thinking for these episodes. I’m sure the thought was “somebody’s going to earn advertising revenue, it may as well be us”!
In the not to distant future I bet feature films will be released online as well, at the same time they’re released in the theaters.

Southpark is definitely one of the funnier cartoons out there. I have about 3 in my top ten and they are included. I still have 7 slots available and I am on the look out for those.
I may just have to add more episodes of southpark to fill in the slots and get it over with.

Great show, I don’t think they could have found a better combination of actors and actresses for this series. I may not like any of them in particular, but they definitely produce an entertaining episode for me to watch.

Lots of good stuff in this article. I don’t watch much television, but my kids like to watch shows they find on the internet, but I have found that some of the sites that stream episodes have innapropriate shows for children!

Does anyone know which kind of video files are supported? I remember the Instinct solely could dl 3gp using opera mini. I downloaded the twist ap, perhaps that is the problem? How can I watch movies from sites apart from youtube? Which file sorts? Normally I’m given the option of 3gp or mpeg4. Can’t get both to work. Thank you to your time!
